I miss R&B in Mira Mesa! The best food here is Sisig and Lechon Kawali! For lunch, we tried Kare-Kare, which is a dish with beef, long string beans, squash, eggplant, and shrimp sauce. We also had Bicol Express, a spicy Filipino dish. Of course, we couldn't miss out on Sisig and Lumpia! I miss it so much! The server is nice, and the atmosphere is good. It's always busy and affordable, so if we can't finish, we have leftovers.

Lots of parking. Great food and lots of selection. You lineup, pick your combo, and kindly ask the friendly Tita’s which entree you want. My favorite was the sisig which is the fried pork belly, chopped, and tossed either onions, spices, and chilies. Also got the kare-kare which is the peanut butter stew. Lots of food for the money. Will come back again!

Tasty food, good variety in choices. I might be a bit biased going into this one. It's a favorite in my household where we like to stop by every couple weeks (I try to cook at home most the time). First of all, it's basically as close to home cooked meals as you are going to get. Don't expect the world but expect to be satisfied with what you get. Sisig is one of our favorites but for whatever reason, over the weekends it seems to be cooked better. Not sure why but we theorize there's either a different chef handling it or some other change in method. Regardless I recommend showing up Saturday & Sunday. Service is great along side the portions. They could easily steal the old Olive Garden motto "When you're here, you're family" because it's just that place. So if I like this place why the 4 stars? Because not everything is a banger, but it's all solid. There are some innate flaws being a cafeteria styles restaurant and that's ok. This place is worth the try and it's definitely worth the money.

I grew up with a melting pot of friends & Filipino cuisine was among various food types I grew up eating a lot. Pancit & lumpia are my favorite food by far & I haven’t had in years but on my way to the dr I saw R&B Filipino cuisine and had to stop… Let me tell you when I took a bite of lumpia l, it sent shivers down my spine, the hair stood up on my arms and neck, and I swear I was glowing! Not from radiation lol, but that bite took me back to when I was seven years old, skateboarding to my friends house, knocking on the door asking if Julius can play, getting invited in to have lunch, & first discovering this Godsend of a food lumpia and it’s heavenly companion Pancit! 100% authentic and guaranteed to give you flashbacks! 10/10 you have to go here! It’s not even a recommendation, It’s your duty!

First time here, came at 11:30am on a Thursday, two other customers in the store. Ordered the combo, with BBQ Pork, Pancit, and Lechon Kawali (Fried Pork Belly). Staff there was pretty pleasant, and after ordering, she made it into a combo. Price was about $19.38 or so, and I just paid $20. None of the food was going bad, but generally a bit overcooked. BBQ Pork had a good taste, but was tough and chewy, and seems overcooked. The Lechon was better, and while the skin was crispy and the meat was flavorful, it seemed a bit overcooked. The pork fat was perfect though, literally melt in your mouth. The noodles were okay, not particularly bad or good. If they could shorten the cooking times, it could be really good. The meat wasn't going bad, and the flavors are good, just overcooked. I finished the noodles, fried pork belly, but only ate half of the BBQ pork. I give it 3.5 stars out of 5, although I rounded up to 4.

A FOODIE’S FIND. It’s all about tempered flavor of AUTHENTIC FILIPINO cooking without any hint of adulteration. None of that “fusion” stuff. FLAVORFUL street-food style service. The eatery is very unassuming, tucked in strip mall. It’s a small, likely family-owned business that seems to be very popular to ethnic Philippine emigres and Filipino-Americans as well other locals. It’s a serving counter of freshly cooked food. The menu is on the board, but prices on the board are catering sizes. It very inexpensive: pricing is based on the size of the container (S, M, L, XL) that food is packed in. It’s street food style service. No frills. My most flavorful recommendations: 1. Fried fish: Fresh crispy fried without any greasiness. Simple salt/pepper seasoning 2. Pinakbet: Classic Filipino dish of mixed tropical vegetables. The surprise was variety of Acorn squash has exquisite nutty flavor 3. Kare kare: Classic stewed beef in peanut sauce. What was a pleasant surprise was the meat: it was a mixture of tripe, little bit of muscle and what I think was sweetbreads (thymus/spleen). It was superb. Feast with you palate! 4. Stewed taro leaf: another surprise The lowly young shoots/buds of taro stewed in coconut milk. It’s rich and delicate flavor 5. Eggplant torta: More like and omelet using an entire length of a Japanese eggplant. There others in the menu to try, perhaps when on another San Diego trip.
